Frequently asked questions: Q: How does it work if I want to come in and make some jewelry? A: It's simple! You come in and grab a plate, pick the beads and then put them on the string we provide in the design that you like. When you are done you pick a clasp and we put it on for you. Then we count up all the beads and charge you for the materials you used. We do not charge for helping you or for simple tasks like putting on a clasp, and there is no sitting fee during regular business hours. Q: I want to come in with my kids for an afternoon of beading. About how much will it cost? A: In the BEAD Lounge we have beads in all price ranges. You can decide how much you would like to spend and a we will show you beads that fit your budget. Also, since we provide our expert assistance at no charge and there is no sitting fee during the day you don't have to worry about any extra charges at the check out. A typical cost is between $5-$30. Q: Can I bring my own beads? A: Because we do not charge a sitting fee, or other service charges, we ask that you do not bring in any other beads when coming in to make jewelry. Q: I have no beading experience. Can I come in and try making some jewelry or do I have to take a class first or something...? A: No experience is necessary to come in and bead. We will set you up at a table with everything you need, plus we will help you from beginning to end. We take care of the technical stuff for FREE (putting on the clasp) so you can just be creative! We do offer classes for those of you who want to learn how to make professional jewelry at home but, if you are just looking to try it out or just looking to have some fun, no class is necessary. Q: Do I have to make an reservation to come in and make jewelry? A: No, it's open seating all day. If you have a large group you may want to call ahead and ask us to reserve a table but besides that it's first come, first served.

Q: I don't consider myself to be very 'creative'; can still I have fun making jewelry? A: Lot's of people come in thinking they are creatively challenged and leave impressed with the beautiful jewelry they made. Making jewelry is instant gratification and most people find it relaxing, even therapeutic.
Q: I just found your store, are you new? A: Actually, we have been at our current location on Corrine Dr. for over 7 years, American Modern Jewelry Co. has been in business for over 12 years, and we have been working as proffessional jewelry designers for over 17 years. Glad you found us!
Q: How large is your bead stock? A: When we first opened our store we were solely a Jewelry Design Company that sold on both the wholesale and retail level. And believe it or not our BEAD Lounge actually started out as a bead 'table', which grew exponentially into the BEAD Lounge. Now, the feedback we get from customers is that our BEAD inventory is larger than most other bead stores in Central Florida with stock that includes all the regular stuff (Swarovski, Bali Silver etc..) plus many more unique items (our specialty.)
Q: Where do you get your beads? A: Generally speaking the beads we sell come from overseas, China, India etc.. but we are always looking out for new unusal beads. We mainly import but we also buy from distributors and manufacturers in the U.S.A.
